In March of 2020, as COVID-19 forced the shutdown of many activities of the City of Half Moon Bay, the Bay Area and the State of California, the City of Half Moon Bay was about to undertake renovations of Frenchman’s Creek Park. Permits had been secured, contracts had been signed and equipment had been purchased. Then, all plans were put on hold due to lack of funding available to complete the project.

To move the Frenchman’s Creek Park project forward to completion now, Friends of Half Moon Bay Parks and Recreation (FOHMBPAR) is planning to raise approximately $50,000 so that as COVID-19 conditions improve, this park will be ready to serve the needs of our children again with safe outdoor playgrounds as quickly as possible.

The funds raised will be used for pouring concrete ramps, installing a rubberized surface and the installation of the new equipment currently in storage.  The City is under contract with a specific supplier for the work to be completed when funding is available.  If funds are not raised, this park completion may be put on hold indefinitely.

Please join us today by making a gift to support the completion of this park.   A variety of donor support levels are available (see below) enabling all donors to support this exciting project!
