In March of 2020, as COVID-19 forced the shutdown of the City of Half Moon Bay, the Bay Area and the State of California, the City of Half Moon Bay was about to undertake Phase 1 & 2 of the renovations of Frenchman’s Creek Park.  Permits had been secured, contracts had been signed and equipment had been purchased.  Then, all plans were put on hold due to the lack of funding to complete the project.

To move this project forward now, Friends of Half Moon Bay Parks and Recreation (FOHMBPAR) is planning to raise approximately $50,000 so that when parks can re-open again officially, this park will be ready for our community to use.

There are 3 phases of this project.  At this point, for phase 1 & 2 of the renovation, funds will be used for the demolition, pouring of concrete ramps, rubberized surface and installation.  The city is under contract with a specific supplier for the work to be completed when funding is available.  If funds are not raised, this park completion may be put on hold for a long time.

A variety of opportunities are available enabling donors to support this exciting project including naming opportunities.  For more information or to make a donation, please visit the FOHMBPAR website,  Thank you!
