• This was the first phase of a three phase Frenchman's Creek Park renovation.  Funds just raised were for the playground (Phase 1) installation only.  We are still raising funds to go towards ongoing efforts of the Friends of Half Moon Bay Parks and Recreation and Phase 2 of the Playground renovations.  More details coming soon.

• Background: In March of 2020, as COVID-19 forced the shutdown of many activities of the City of Half Moon Bay, the Bay Area and the State of California, the City of Half Moon Bay was about to undertake renovations of Frenchman’s Creek Park.

  • Permits had been secured, contracts had been signed with Miracle Playsystems (February 2020) and equipment had been purchased.

  • Due to City budget cuts, all plans were put on hold due to lack of funding available.

  • To complete this project, Friends of Half Moon Bay Parks and Recreation (FOHMBPAR) worked with our partners to raise funds so that as COVID-19 conditions improved, the park was ready to serve our community again.​
