FUNDRAISING PRIORITIES

FOHMBPAR has been an active force of change in the community for over a decade.  We take pride in providing support to improve our community.  Over the years, our organization has fundraised for numerous projects that improve the lives of coastsiders like you!

Our 2020 fundraising priorities include:

  • A New Aquatics Center (A New Pool)

  • Carter Park Improvements

  • The Rollie Wright Scholarship Fund

  • Park and Recreation Events

A COASTAL AQUATICS CENTER (A NEW POOL)

One of our current projects is to build a fund that will be used to cover ongoing heating and maintenance costs for the new coastal aquatics center.

As part of the Half Moon Bay Parks and Recreation Master Plan, a new community aquatics center is needed now more than ever.

The current "community" pool is located at the high school.  Public access is extremely limited.  As a result, children do not get swim lessons, and the senior community does not have the access they deserve  to water aerobics and aquatic therapy. The pool is even too shallow for the water polo teams to practice and hold meets.

ROLLIE WRIGHT SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Rollie Wright Sponsorship Fund was established to celebrate the life and work of our former Parks and Recreation Director who passed away from cancer and is available to qualifying coastal residents for all ages!  These opportunities have been made possible by generous donations from individuals and businesses.
