Replace the Pool!

Please consider making a donation to help us reach our goal of bringing a new pool to our community.

Your tax-deductible donation will help us create another meeting place for the city we love.  We are a 501c charitable organization, and we will mail you a tax deduction letter.

FOHMBPAR has been an active force of change in the community for over a decade.  We take pride in providing support to improve our community.  Check out our numerous completed projects that are already improving the lives of coastsiders like you!

Our current project is to build an endowment fund that will be used to cover ongoing heating and maintenance costs at the new community pool.  Building an endowment is a critical step toward ensuring that the pool replacement project is a sustainable endeavor.

Half Moon Bay needs a new pool now more than ever, as the community need has outgrown what our pool can provide.  The current "community" pool is located at the high school, and it primarily serves the student community.  Public access is extremely limited.  As a result, children do not get swim lessons, and the senior community does not have the access they deserve  to water aerobics and aquatic therapy. The pool is even too shallow for the water polo teams to practice and hold meets.

FOHMBPAR in the Media

Our replace the pool project is attracting media attention!  In September, 2109 Board member Eric Harger gave an interview with Jim Henderson at Radio Magazine.  Check it out!

He did such a great job, they invited him back for more this November.

The pool project was also featured in the Half Moon Bay Review in December 2018.
